Self-Tape Teleprompter for Actors
This is a teleprompter app built for actors taping auditions alone. You paste or upload your sides, it scrolls your lines near the lens so your eyeline stays right, and it reads the other character's lines out loud on your timing.
It is for working actors who get sides at 9pm and need a clean tape by morning, with no reader available and no time to fully memorize.
How it works
- 1
Load your sides
Paste the text or upload the PDF. The scene is parsed into characters and lines automatically.
- 2
Pick your character
Choose the role you are reading. Every other character becomes a scene partner reader.
- 3
Set the reader
Record the other lines in your own voice or choose a reader voice, then set pace and pauses.
- 4
Roll and record
Your lines scroll at eye level while the reader cues you. Record in the browser and download the take.
What you get
- Teleprompter that follows your pace instead of a fixed scroll speed
- Scene partner reader that speaks the other character's lines aloud
- Automatic script parsing for pasted text and PDF sides
- Adjustable eyeline placement so you can read close to the lens
- Per-line pause and pacing control for dramatic beats
- In-browser recording and download — nothing to install
Frequently asked questions
Does the teleprompter follow my voice?
+
It follows your timing. You control when the next line advances, and the scene partner reader waits for you rather than running on a fixed scroll, so long pauses and fast overlaps both work.
Can I self-tape without a reader?
+
Yes. That is the point of the tool. The other character's lines are read aloud so you have something to actually play against when nobody is available to read with you.
What file types can I upload?
+
You can paste plain text or upload PDF sides. The script is parsed into characters and dialogue so you can assign your role in a couple of clicks.
Do I need to install anything?
+
No. It runs in your browser on desktop, tablet, or phone. Recording and playback happen on the device you are already taping with.
Does this cost anything to try?
+
You start with 7 free credits when you sign up with an email address — no card. Each run of a tool spends credits, because each one calls a paid AI or voice service. Browsing casting calls and building a profile are free regardless.
