Free Headshot Review for Actors

Upload an acting headshot and get a structured review of expression, lighting, framing, wardrobe, and the casting type the shot is actually selling. If you upload several, you find out which one to lead with.

It is for actors choosing between proof-sheet options, or wondering why a shot they like is not getting them in the room.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload your shots

Add one image or a few options from the same session.

  2. 2

    Get scored feedback

Each shot is assessed on expression, eyes, lighting, background, crop, and wardrobe.

  3. 3

    See your type

You find out what the image reads as at thumbnail size, which is how casting sees it.

  4. 4

    Pick your lead shot

Submit the strongest image and know why the others are backups.

What you get

  • Expression and eye-connection assessment
  • Lighting and catchlight check
  • Crop, framing, and background review
  • Wardrobe and color notes for on-camera work
  • Casting type read at thumbnail size
  • Side-by-side ranking when you upload multiple shots

Frequently asked questions

Is the headshot review free?

+

Yes, the review is free to run on your account. Create a login and upload a shot.

What makes a strong acting headshot?

+

It reads at thumbnail size: lit, focused eyes, a clean background, current wardrobe, and one obvious casting type. If a viewer has to work out what you play, the shot is doing too much.

How many headshots should I have?

+

Most working actors carry two or three: a commercial look, a theatrical look, and sometimes a specific-genre shot. More than that usually confuses reps and casting.

Can I upload several and compare?

+

Yes. Upload a set from the same session and the review ranks them so you know which one to submit first.

Does this cost anything to try?

+

You start with 7 free credits when you sign up with an email address — no card. Each run of a tool spends credits, because each one calls a paid AI or voice service. Browsing casting calls and building a profile are free regardless.
