Self-Tape Wardrobe

Suggest the role; do not costume it. A solid colour that separates you from your background, in a shape the character would plausibly wear, does the job — full costume, uniforms and props tend to read as effort rather than casting. Avoid clothing that clashes with your backdrop, and avoid anything that pulls focus to itself while you are speaking.
