Your First Background Work

Background work puts you on a professional set with almost no barrier to entry, and that is its value early on: you learn call times, holding, paperwork, and how a set actually behaves before any of it is happening on your close-up. It is not a route to principal casting on its own, and treating it as one leads to disappointment — treat it as paid education.
